Lorena Abitante, LCSW
I believe in assisting you in an authentic, compassionate, and empathetic manner with your goals in mind, and at your pace. I’m experienced working with stress management, Major Depressive Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, anxiety, feelings of suicide, psychotic disorders/psychosis, family issues, and child abuse/neglect, including sexual abuse. I believe in using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to assist in changing self-defeating thoughts and improving coping skills. In addition, I utilize Family Systems theory, solution-focused theory, Empowerment Theory, and Humanistic theory, in addition to elements of various other theories in an eclectic approach to meet your needs. I will meet with clients on an appointment basis. I enjoy my work and looking forward to hearing from you.
